The New McNamara Women's Basketball

Bishop McNamara Women's Basketball is new and improved. With the hiring of new head coach, Frank Oliver, Jr., the squad of all underclassmen, has a record of 7-5 and is 3-2 in the highly competitive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

Kyara Frames '17 helps Lady Mustangs with victory over Good Counsel is impressed with the poise and control of Bishop McNamara freshman, Kyara Frames, who was successful at the foul line in the fourth quarter to help the Lady Mustangs win over the Good Counsel Falcons this week. 

Lady Mustangs: Bringing Christmas to Nursing Home Residents

Over the Christmas break, on Christmas eve, the Lady Mustangs Basketball team spent time wrapping and distributing Christmas gifts to the Seniors at the Clinton Nursing Home. It was a very special day for the girls and the residents of the nursing home, and the team as well as Coach Oliver appreciated the opportunity to give back to their community.

McNamara Women's Basketball well represented at Patriot Center

McNamara Women’s Basketball was well represented by two alumni on Sunday, November 3 at an exhibition game at the Patriot Center with George Mason University against Bowie State. Senior Cierra Strickland '10 and redshirted Sophomore Taylor Brown '11 both contributed to the George Mason Patriot's victory - Cierra with her foul shooting, and Taylor with 19 points in her first appearance for George Mason. The Patriots came out on top of the Bowie Bulldogs with a score of 98-60.
