National Signing Day at Bishop McNamara

On the first Wednesday of February, high school seniors can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for college athletics. This morning at 10:00 a.m., five senior student-athletes of Bishop McNamara signed an athletic scholarship for the college or university of their choice.

Damian Prince '14 to be a Terp!

Bishop McNamara senior, Damian Prince, has announced that he will be a University of Maryland Terp in the fall! At a press conference in front of a national audience on ESPN on National Signing Day, Damian made his decision to go to Maryland and the Big Ten this morning at 10:35 am. Congratulations to Damian and to the Maryland Terps for their success at signing him. He will be an asset to the team.

Kevaughn Townsend '13 CIAA Player of the Week 7

Graduate of 2013, Kevaughn Townsend has been selected as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week (Week 7). Kevaughn is a rookie linebacker in his freshman year at Bowie State. According to the official website of CIAA, "Townsend had a banner day, leading the Bulldogs defense with a personal season best 11 total tackles (6 solo and 5 assisted) in BSU's triple overtime loss at Virginia State." Congratulations, Kevaughn! says Robert Jackson '15 "Hopeful for Playoffs" recently posted an article about the Bishop McNamara defensive back Robert Jackson '15 and his hopes for the playoffs and beyond. Damian Prince '14 Adopts Plan of Healthy Eating and Exercise

Damian Prince '14 is facing his senior year with a new outlook. After an extensive summer program of healthy eating and exercise, Damian has lost 40 pounds and has much more energy. The Washington Post covered the story recently, producing a video of his summer workout regimen and dietary goals. Keep up the good work, Damian.
