The Library is reserved for an alumni Professional Development event today and will be CLOSED from 8:00 am-12:30 pm.
Library Books and Fines:  Any students who have not returned BMHS School Library books must do so immediately. Any late fines must also be paid. End-of-year reports -- report cards, transcripts - will not be released until these matters have been cleared. Please check your school email for notices from the Library.  Thank you for your attention to this!
Class of 2015:  Senior Polo’s and Cardigan Sweaters
Your Senior Polo's and Cardigan Sweaters are now on sale. Go on the BMHS website and click on the "Shop" link at your top right and place your order. Or you can just go to: shop.bmhs.org REMEMBER this is your school uniform for your senior year so make sure you order what you will need. Also, you MUST stop by the Mustang Shop and try on your correct size.
The Junior and Sophomore classes, in celebration of the last class day, will be selling Rita's Italian ice during all lunches today, Friday, June 6th, 2014. Please support the Junior and Sophomore classes!
"Slam poetry is competitive poetry." The English department wishes to congratulate the BMHS Poetry Club on an outstanding season. The competition team of Bobbi Johnson, Jaia Gillette, Taylor Marshall, and Dana Hentz made it to semi-finals in the Louder Than a Bomb Teen Poetry Slam Festival. And this past Saturday, Bobbi Johnson pushed through three rounds of strong competition to a 3rd place finish at the DMV Indie Slam.
Boy's & girl's tennis workouts will be at the outdoor courts at Cosca Park at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 14th.  Rain date is Saturday, June 21st.  Please contact Coach Jackson with any questions. 
Rising Seniors interested in completing their volunteer hours this summer with the Joseph Gilmore Center are invited to a meeting at 3:15 in the library on Friday.  The Gilmore Center will only accommodate 10 summer interns as volunteers, so if you want to use this as your site, you must attend the meeting.  See Ms. Longest with questions.
The Science and Ecology Club is collecting specific materials for recycling next week as students clean out their lockers.  Place empty 3 ring binders and old writing instruments in the specially marked boxes at the end of each hallway.  If you can reuse these items please do so. But if you can't reuse the binders, pens or markers then place them in the marked boxes.  Do not put other items or trash in the boxes please!  Thank you!
Finals Week:  The Sophomore Class will be selling donuts in the morning in the cafeteria before all finals for a $1.  Be sure to come early and we'll sell out!
Attention NHS juniors, please turn in all of your end of year points to Mrs. Corley by Wednesday, June 11.  If you worked any of the recent graduation activities you need to fill out a point sheet and have the teacher in charge sign off.  Updated point totals are located in room 205 on the front bulletin board.

Last chance to join Band & Orchestra.  Do you have a free period next year?  Consider playing an instrument. We are in need of students to play Cello, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba.  See Mrs. Hardy or Mr. Conto with questions.
Math Power Hour will take place today in the school library from 3:15 to 4:15.  Students who wish to attend must sign-in by 3:30.  Space is limited, so get there early.  Today is the last Math Power Hour for the school year and is a GREAT opportunity for you to get help with reviewing for your math final exam.  Hope to see you there!

The Korean Culture Club will be going to a Korean restaurant in Virginia on Monday, June 9 after exams.  If you are interested in attending, see Mr. Shin.  You must have attended at least one KCC meeting this year.  The trip costs $5.

If you are going white water rafting this weekend, we will meet in room 108 at 3:15 today to make sure that everyone is properly registered, and we will be meeting at the school this Sunday by 6:30 am!
